Mountains are extraordinary, captivating, and untamed. They are the lifeblood and livelihood for so many. But for how much longer?

The unchangeable are changing. Catastrophic deglaciation is crippling mountain scapes the world over. And human activity is at the heart of this destruction.

We cannot stop greenhouse emissions. Only high elevated glaciers will continue their existence.

We are a team of skiers, mountaineers and filmmakers and have witnessed first-hand what's on the line.

From the moment we first stood in the shadow of a mountain, we became immensely humbled by that grandeur and power.

We've now embarked on this journey to better understand our impact and to search for people around the world who are working together to develop positive solutions in the face of this threat.

As a vehicle for this message, we have resolved to ski the highest mountain on each of the seven continents and explore the fragile ecosystems and surrounding communities. Skiing The Seven Summits will be the world's first, but tragically, due to rising temperatures, we will most likely also be the last. When faced with such a seemingly insurmountable challenge as climate change, our hope is to make a difference using our individual skills and joint passions.

For us, this is the most striking action we can use to project this message. And we hope this story will help you find yours.

We have to give back at least something, not just take everything all the time. And that something is fighting against climate change.

We want people to feel inspired to explore our beautiful planet. But there are often consequences to this. There is, of course, a carbon footprint of this idea. And over the course of this project, we will collaborate with an array of offset and capture initiatives around the world - to better understand and address our impact in a variety of ways.

We will offset our total footprint seven times over, featuring a different solution with each mountain we climb. The ultimate goal is to become better at incorporating change into our lives and present options for you to do the same.
